Why 1,000 Months

My goal with 1,000 Months is simple:

To wake us up.

Too many of us are asleep at the wheel of our own lives. We move through our days distracted, disconnected, and convinced there will always be more time.

Some of us may live beyond 1,000 months. But how many of those months will be fully lived? How many will hold health, deep connection, meaningful work, adventure, presence, and love?

1,000 Months is a lens. A way to see your life more clearly. A reminder that time is not something you merely have. It is something you are spending.

Spend it with your people. Travel. Strengthen your body. Learn new skills. Create something that matters. Know yourself. Love yourself.

Because you are not separate from life. You are life itself.

What a waste to be given a life and remain absent from it.

Once you see this, you cannot unsee it. That awareness changes the deal. You can no longer pretend your real life begins later. Stop postponing it. Stop waiting for permission.

This is not meant to scare you. It is meant to bring your attention back to center. To the only place your life can be lived: here. Now.

So ask yourself: What will I do with my months? What will I do differently? What would make this month feel fully lived?

You may not know yet. Most of us don't. I cannot answer those questions for you. No one can.

But I can offer field notes from my own life, and from others choosing to live deliberately. Stories. Lessons. Mistakes. Discoveries. No commandments. No formula for your life. Just lived experience that may help you recognize your own path.

The months are already moving. Live them.
